In Novosibirsk, the CC19 Cultural Centre presents “Way of Life”, a retrospective spanning the many genres of Andrey Kurchenko’s work. The exhibition features more than 100 works. “Andrey Kurchenko is a one-man band: artist, performer, photographer, musician, stage designer, designer, philosopher, curator… At one time or another, the city’s entire cultural scene and visiting celebrities passed through his studio at the Krasny Fakel Theatre. Andrey’s way of life has a special artistic value in itself: he creates spontaneously, in the name of cosmological determinism, setting aside such worldly matters as documenting artistic acts in archives and catalogues,” says the exhibition’s curator, Anastasia Ermish.
